Thrive

A must read for any athlete wanting to improve performance healthily.

The back cover of the book reads as follows;

“Thrive is a must-read”
T. Colin Campbell, PhD, best-selling author of the China Study

Thrive is a long-term eating plan that will help you develop a lean body, sharp mind, and everlasting energy, whether you’re a professional athlete or simply looking to boost your physical and mental health. One of the few professional athletes on an entirely plant-based diet, Brendan Brazier developed this easy-to-follow program to enhance his performance as an elite endurance athlete. Clearly describing the benefits of a plant-based diet, Thrive will help you:

• Lower body fat and increase muscle tone
• Diminish visible signs of aging
• Sleep better and more restfully
• Experience better moods
• Increase energy and mental clarity
• Build a stronger immune system
• Lower cholesterol
• Eliminate junk-food cravings

Thrive also features a 12-week whole foods meal plan, over 100 wheat-, gluten-, and soy-free recipes. Included are exercise-specific recipes for pre-workout snacks, energy gels, sport drinks, and recovery foods.

    I love Brendan Brazier along with his books and Vega products. His book sits beside my fruit bowl on my kitchen counter. I had the pleasure of listening to Brendan speak in NYC this past Spring. He’s a wonderful speaker – so inspirational. I also chatted with him in September at a Natural Foods event in Toronto. He’s so easy to talk to and so humble!
